any tips on the parking brake adjustment, should the threads be out on the collar under the center console, seems to have helped but not 100%
when I press the parking brake pedal down it wants to just go to the floor

Just did my rear brake overhaul this weekend.
Working on a DIY, so stay tuned but:
- Brake shoes friction material fell off, have seen this many times in car with 8-10y/80K, almost like clockwork. Likely from trapped heat inside the drum portion of the rotor.
- New ATE rotor
- New Pagid shoes
- New Jurid pads
Anyway, I'd suggest that you overhaul the whole thing before adjusting it. The brake shoes are probably gone anyway.

wow this is an awesome write up, Thanks!
after i adjusted it, it seemed to grab a little better, however I just asked my wife if it was still going right to the floor and that was the case. I noticed when I have the console open and pull the whole cable towards the front of the vehicle a little it seems to grab but then loosens up.

I just checked the shoes and they are fine, so i went back to the adjustment at the console.
when pulling on the cable I noticed everything to be extremely loose, like the cable was not connected under the console. I started ripping the center console down and found both cables someone became disconnected, after connecting these and adjusting things, everything works perfect.

My brake doesn't engage really until the 5th click, so I'm assuming my cables are stretched. The shoes are brand new. I'm totally maxed out on adjustment. I'm wondering if drilling a hole and moving the cable more inward on the mount under the console would help give me the little bit of adjustment I need.
I'm not sure I follow you on this, but that may work, will that change the direction of the cable though? it almost seems if you could cut the end of the cable off and crimp a new connector on that would shorten the cable

What shoes do you have?
It has been reported that aftermarket shoes are a tiny bit too thin. This causes the adjustment to max out.
So, stick to ATE, Pagid, Textar shoes.
