Hi, considering buying an 01 xc with 57k on it.
asking price is $13,900
car seems to be all there.

any concerns about that year or model?

Yes, it's the worst year....consider a later year...actually '03 and newer if you need a AWD....the system changed to Haldex that year and it's much much better.

Good miles but still too much.
This is right aroundd the time that 01's become deadly to the wallet, not to mention it's due for the ($600) 60K service.
Try to find a good 02 for around the same money or maybe $1000 more.
01 prices are non existent (very low) as everyone knows (who's in the know) to stay away from them

Thanks guys, you just saved me alot of aggrevation.
Actually, I just sold my got rid of my 4th volvo ('95-850)
Got side swiped by a bus.

Anyway, any additional advice for a volvo priced at about $12,000 or so.
Can you recommend a good year and model?
