2003 s60 alarm relay

hi im new here was wondering if anyone can help me out. Im looking for the 210 211 relay for the alarm and dont know how to identify it. I know its under the dash but not sure which one it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Hi the reason i was trying to locate this relay is i read somewhere that you can override the factory alarm. Now Im being told that you cant disable the alarm and that anything i do to try to fix the car will need a software update to sinc the new part to the car. Is this true? My problem is sometimes when i drive the car a short distance and try to start it after running an errand the immobilizer kicks in and kills the ignition. After a few hours or so the car usually starts. There is a message that shows up that says alarm maintenance required. Any ideas? thanks

If you are getting nuisance alarm trigger events with relevant DIM messages, take a look at this thread, it will probably help you solve your problem:

To identify a bad alarm module, it is best to read the car for codes.
However, it is the battery inside the alarm module that usually gives up the ghost after this many years in service, which makes the alarm module the primary suspect.

Alarm siren is 10x easier to remove through the headlight. No rivets drilling and fighting with a secret bolt.

I just replaced the alarm siren on my 2004 S60. I used my small channel lock pliers on the security bold and it came out with no issues (no need to cut a slot in it with a dremel power tool). I put it back and the same way. I ordered the pop rivets on amazon and the best price I found on a new siren was at niellovolvoparts dot com. I split the old one open and the red wire was disintegrated all the way to the connector and the battery looks like it fried two capacitors. That is more work than I would have wanted to take on, so I am glad I purchased a new siren. The dealership wanted $80 more for the siren, who knows how much they would have charged to put it in!

Lucky you. One of my cars had this bolt seized completely, I could not turn it even with slot cut.
