Can I install a Homelink visor in my '95 850? It currently has an illuminated visor that won't stay up so I need to replace it. I noticed last time at the pick n pull there were a lot of later model Volvos with Homelink. Is it just a mater of wiring it up to the existing cable in the A pillar or is there a module involved under the dash?
Thanks in advance and Happy Turkey day to All.
Matt

Hi Matt,
Yes, you can install a HomeLink visor into an 850. Wiring it up is pretty easy too. Just remove the plastic covering on the A pillar, cut the wire to the old visor, then wire in the HomeLink visor. Be sure to disconnect the battery before beginning.

That's good advice. I didn't follow that advice when I removed my headliner and had to cut the wires. I should have done that.Volvofan94 wrote:Be sure to disconnect the battery before beginning.
