94 850 Seal between servo and brake master

Post by skloon »

I had to replace my brake booster due to busting the brake pedal sensor off- I read that there should be a gasket in there but I did not see one- I pulled one apart at the pick and pull and found the same thing- so I guess I am looking for confirmation that there should not be a gasket- I did install a thick o-ring in my car but the pedal is weird feeling now- I have air in the system too so I will have to bleed it but want to know about the gasket before I get too far

This link takes you to a brake servo/booster parts layout for a 94 850 non-turbo with auto-shift

I cannot see any 'o'ring between the master cylinder and the booster body. There is one between the booster and the firewall though.

That is pretty much what I thought so I will remove the one I installed and bleed the brakes and then go play in the snow
