My car is a 94 so no sips at all I cut the s60 wires and covered the end with a silicone filled cap- that way no stray voltage would come in

+1 on the Leatherique. Consider yourself lucky that the seats aren't torn. That means they must have been maintained at one time. I have been able to bring back rock hard leather and it really is easy to do. the trick is to get the seats to "drink" as much of the solution because they are dried out all the way to the underside. It's best if doing this in warmer weather but getting them done now will protect the seats in the colder winter temps.

I also have used Griots Garage Leather Rejuvenator. It works the same as the Leatherique but I think it has a nicer smeller. It's more like a new leather interior smell than some of the other options out there. The auto part store options tend to be mostly water based and won't penetrate into the hind. You have to soften it all the way through to return them to near original condition.

I just ordered Leatherique and will try that 1st. You're supposed to apply it liberally and let the car sit in the sun with the windows up to let it soak in to the leather. It's starting to get cold here in Boston, so I'm hoping the results will be good. I'll take before and after photos and keep you posted. Just to let you know my 1995 n/a 850 GLT has SIPS bags.
Thanks all for the replies.

The only concern I have is the Boston cold... Maybe a space heater in the car?
