multible fault codes

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

multible fault codes

Post by js12489 »

hi ! my name is john. I bought a 99 s80 with the check engine light on. I scanned and found it needed a turbo pressure sensor, turbo pressure valve, crank position sensor, and the ever so popular o2 sensors(upstream). even though the check engine is on it ran good. I changed the sensors and battery died from sitting. I jumped it with my truck, and it started right up and stalled right after. would not start after. I got it run by holding the throttle pedal down a little, it will stay running at 1500 rpm but stall if I let up, and will not rev if I push the pedal to floor, and stall if I press the brake pedal, and now I have multible codes from the ecu. does anyone know what possibly happened, has this happened to anyone else, how the resolve this.
codes are for throttle position sensor, throttle pedal sensor, maf sensor, temp. sensor, fuel tank pressure sensor, all seem to have faulty signal too high/too low.

problem solved! I don't know how but i'll tell you what I did incase it happens to some one else. I disconnected battery and pulled every fuse that said module, let set for a couple of hours, and then replaced fuses and connected battery. at that point the car idled rough but idled, but still had no reaction from gas pedal. while car was idling I unplugged the maf and the car stalled, I plugged the maf back in started car again and got throttle reaction from gas pedal but it would only rev up to 2000 rpm. I shut the car off and cleaned the maf with maf cleaner and the is running good again.
