Rear inflatable curtain cover

hi everyone. my name is dhanan. we own a 2001 s80. 2.0 soft turbo. the rear plastic covers for the curtain airbags on both sides have broken off leaving a part of the plastic clips still attached.was wondering whether it is okay to leave it open like that. or should i try to buy a new cover for both sides. its probably the tropical heat here in malaysia to be blamed for the plastic failing to be in place. i was looking for the part on ebay but cant seem to find it. please advive. thank you very much kind gentlemen.
