I have a VERY intermittent "Low Coolant Warning" light coming on in my '04 V70 T5. My coolant level seems to be fine.
This is probably a stupid question, but is this just the coolant level sensor going bad?
I've not had this happen on any of my other Volvos, so I don't know if it's typical, or if it is indicative of a deeper problem.
'04 V70 Low Coolant Warning
Checking, if its any DTC there.
Add a bit coolant to a bit "over" max level.
Checking connection with sensor. Its may not well connected. ?

Thank you. I've been watching the coolant level. It seems stable.z2003 wrote:Checking, if its any DTC there.

I'll jiggle the connection again.
Oddly enough, the light didn't come at all today. Odd...

Lucky choice is the float inside the reservoir gets stuck.
Unlucky one is the sensor at the bottom of the reservoir is kaput. It's fragile and will break when one lifts the reservoir without disconnecting the electrical plug.
