For this forum? Ever since the site was updated a week or so ago, I haven't gotten any emails. I need to see if I can fix that.

Okay, maybe I can't fix it. Setting are as I left them, dunno why I'm not getting forum emails...

Emails still blocked?

Possibilities: they're going in Spam folder, or they're blocked at the domain level, as is currently happening with comcast.net email recipients. We're working on Comcast.

My standard is Google's gmail service. If they get to that, chances are very good that my server's email settings (of which there are, sadly, far too many) are good.

Hi Matt,

Or anyone else, please send a test reply to this thread. I haven't changed any settings since I first had this ISP a few months ago. Back in Aug of this year I received email alerts, but no nothing. So, as I said it's not on my end. However, my ISP made me check some box for my email account "Save a copy of SPAM in SPAM folder", he thinks that will fix it. However I don't think so because NOTHING has changed on my end.

He said if that doesn't work, they'd need an email from the server and work it from there. I just hope my inbox does not get flooded w/ Penis Enlargement emails!

As an update, their security team said this site's server IP address is not on their blocklist ! WTH.

You get those too? Don't forget the cheating wives in your area "dating" sites!
I'm on gmail, and I'm not getting anything. I've checked spam and all of my folders. I'll check my filters on Gmail again.

I made a change in the DNS records. It may take 24-48 hours to have an effect on ISPs.

I'm still not getting anything. Matt, would the auto email alert I have WHEN it was working contain the sufficient traffic information (ie routing info of the email) for them ? Or do I need something else.

The server gives itself the email from address [email protected]. But the specific email address doesn't matter. This stuff is allowed or blocked on the domain level, in this case we're talking about, which is ISP-domain-level mail rules.

You might try to whitelist that www-data address. A specific address whitelist might punch through an ISP domain block, I don't know.

That goes for anyone having trouble. Whitelist [email protected] and see if that opens it up.

From the header we can see Authentication-Results: mx.google.com; spf=pass which tells me I have the SPF record configured correctly, at least. I'm thinking Comcast is holding old DNS info for my domain.

(Uber nerds here might see the recipient as [email protected] and think it's not going out of my system. It is going out. That address forwards to [email protected], and must pass Google's checks, thus the Gmail header info.)
