2005 S40 Transmission Control Solenoid

Can anyone tell me where this solenoid is located on the transmission? I would like to change it myself and I need to take the old one off before I can buy one a new one. Thanks for your help

The solenoid pack is inside the transmission. If you are having solenoid problems sometimes a fluid flush will fix it. Otherwise it means pulling the transmission and opening it up to get to the solenoid pack.

'96 854 - died an early death with 184K miles. Killed by the front end of an LTD on a suicide mission (T-boned and both cars totaled).
