1998 V70 AC cycles off when it shouldn't

Folks,

My AC goes off on its own and blows hot air for about 5 minutes and then cycles back on blowing cold air. The fan keeps blowing hard which indicates it hasn't reached the desired temp. The onlyother thing I can add at this point is that the outside temp is around 80-85 degrees.

Any ideas?

Probably low on freon

thanks. I've have one of those kits where you can check the freon charge level and add freon. I hope it isn't the evaporator core leaking again. Just had it replaced about 3 years ago and it was $1200 due to the intense labor required to take apart the entire dashboard.
