Glad the write up helped, I wasn't sure anyone would use it. My gauge is still working flawlessly; I'd be lost with out it.
It was boosting 1psi lower than normal, which is minimal but I decided to have a quick look at the engine; turns out one of the nipple plugs on the vacuum tree flew off. I would have never felt a 1 psi drop in boost.

I'm a little mixed up on the fishing trip part. Is the arc of the hanger long enough so that it pokes out where the dimmer was, while you're still holding on to the hanger from the entry point on the A-pillar molding? Or do you just blast it back there and use another hook to pull it through?

Fantastic write up! I think this is the push I need to finally install a boost gauge.

Yes, I used a hanger, which is long enough to go from the dimmer to where the rubber molding sits. Believe it or not, my first try, I was successful. Its all about having the correct arc radius which you need to judge by using your arc radius judging mechanism called... blind luck really.
Once the coat hanger wire is through, you tape one end to the wire you want to feed, and you pull it through.

Awesome! Thanks a ton! Can't wait to get one. Seemed so unfathomable to do the install before.

Yeah, it seemed like a lot before, but I just went ahead and did it. It's not nearly as hard as it seems.
