Wagon rear seat bump stop in latch

Post by rrochell8 »

The rubber bump stops in my rear seat latch that keeps the seat nice and tight inside the latch have disintegrated and now I have a lose seat that is chirping like a cricket. Does anyone know the part number for these bump stops? Or are these things are even available? I've searched for a couple of days now and have come up with nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've got a 1996 850 wagon.

A couple of times in the history of my '96 wagon this chirping has cropped up and about driven me nuts. It was on the passenger-side seat-back latch. Spraying the inside of the latch with white grease (careful to protect everything around it), and applying a little wax, like Door-Ease stick lubricant, on the latch bracket (on the body) seem to have taken care of it. It's been a long time since it has made any noise.

That used to work on mine as well, but since the bump stops fell into pieces last month the grease doesn't help anymore. But I appreciate your reply!
