DIM Cluster Swap

Hello

I know you guys can reprogram a compatible DIM from one vehicle to work on another. My question is if I had the DIM from a 2005 V70/S60 R model could it be programmed to work on my 2005 XC70 as a plug-and-play upgrade?

In this case there is no need of programming unless you want to transfer your original mileage.

R clusters have an additional LED lighting at the top of the unit, they will not work when the DIM is plugged in to regular S60, V70, XC70 or S80. We have to mod the R board to activate these lights or you will not see anything on the cluster at night.
2005 R DIM will work in the 2005 regular cars, however the trip computer might not display correct values. For example it might show "Average Fuel Consumption 999.9 MPG"
Also just like doublebug said the mileage would have to be changed.

Great! Thanks! Just out of curiosity what would it cost to modify and program? Not exactly looking for this myself at the moment unless I come across a DIM for cheap, but could be a good reference for others!
