Volvo 850 93r 2.0 20v B5240S Start engine problem

Post by epox »

Hi, I have a problem with my Volvo 850 2.0 20v B5204S starter spins the engine is a spark, the fuel pressure is 3 bar, all well connected, the engine does not start. There is no immobilizer, no computer errors.

All sensors by new ones. Crankshaft sensor, camshaft position sensor, throttle sensor, the lambda probe.
New spark plugs, cables, plugs, ignition finger and dome plug.

Any codes stored?
Being a '93,you have diagnostic ports under the hood.
Check for codes and report back.

Have you tried to start it with Maf sensor disconnected?Does it start without it?
Another thing to check is master fuel injection relay located at cooling fan carrier. It's grey one and it says Volvo & Made in Hungary on it.

Disconnect it's connector and try to start it.
Also, check the grey relay which i mentioned in my previous post.
You need to dry those spark plugs in order to start the car since they are pretty good soaked with fuel by know. When you do that pour a tea spoon of oil in each cylinder since you washed up cyl.walls with fuel while trying to start.
Fpr would be another thing to check, but let's go with one thing at a time.

MAF sensor disconnected - unchanged during engine start

Gray relay running, it dismantled the casing and the contacts Aug. contain at ignition

Oil replenished to the cylinders, candles dried - when the car popped ignition in the exhaust - Continue nothing happens

One thing I noticed, when you try to start the engine, filming starter
and when it stops spinning starter, the engine shoots sometimes in the exhaust system

It sounds like you are almost there. Remove the plugs, pull the fuel injection relay (under the fuses ) and the coil wire to the distributor cap, crank the motor a few times to purge the cylinders. Then add the oil, reinstall the plugs and relay, connect coil and crank it up.

Also, if it is firing through the exhaust, verify your wiring on the distributor, it is published incorrectly in certain manuals.

And remember, since you are adding oil to the cylinders, it WILL smoke like a locomotive when you get it running. Nothing wrong, but make sure there is ventilation.

I used what you wrote and is an improvement, that is - when you start the car engine fumes from the exhaust but it does not come under the teeth to turn to normal work. Before the failure of such a measure added to the fuel injection system to clean
http://www.liqui-moly.de/liquimoly/prod ... db=web.nsf

my question is - whether this measure could damage the engine

[quote="epox"] that is - when you start the car engine fumes from the exhaust but it does not come under the teeth to turn to normal work.

Can you say this in different words, I don't understand what you mean.

As far as the Lubro-Moly, Their products are high quality, I would not be concerned about that.

One thing to try for troubleshooting, pull the injection relay again, spray some starting fluid in the intake (maybe at the vacuum tree) and try , if it runs then your problem is fuel related

While filming the starter, the engine tries to start but if he did not have the power to surprise on the turnover. At the time of starting the engine emits exhaust gas from the exhaust gray
