Ignition key programing in Boise
Ignition key programing in Boise
If anyone in the Boise, ID area needs to have Volvo ignition keys programmed, there is a local locksmith that can do it. Advanced Lock&Key 208-891-8950. They programmed 2 for my 01V70XC this afternoon, only took about 15 minutes.

Great info. What did you provide to them? Existing working keys or did you need to leave the vehicle with them?
Is this a walk-in service by copying your existing key?

Current cars VW Transporter 2.5TDI, 2010 XC90 D5 R Design
They had new blank keys that they cut using my old key, then hooked up VIDA DiCE to the car. The new keys went into the ignition one after the other, and were added to the registry. I went in to them last week hoping that they could just cut some door only keys for me, knowing that there was no way that they could program the car for new chipped keys. I mentioned this and was told that they had VIDA DiCE on the way and that they would be able to program the keys by this week. I was skeptical, but volunteered to be the test subject. I'm glad that I now have more than one ignition key.precopster wrote:Great info. What did you provide to them? Existing working keys or did you need to leave the vehicle with them?

I assume it was better than the dealer - but what did they charge you for the keys and what for the programming?

Not sure what they will charge, give them a call for prices. They said that they will beat the local dealer rate of 275.00 per key, plus a discount if you get more than just one made. I got a super great deal for being the first test subject.Ringo wrote:I assume it was better than the dealer - but what did they charge you for the keys and what for the programming?
