Replace Steering Limiter (steering stop)

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Replace Steering Limiter (steering stop)

Post by GDATL »

The tires on my 2006 S80 are brushing the wheel well, which I know indicates that I need new Steering Limiters (or steering stops). Everything is stock on my car, including the tires and wheel and I have the correct ones, based upon my local dealer (and FCPEuro) recommendation). I'm an occasional weekend mechanic at best, and usually I can find how-to videos online or at least some instructions, but I am finding nothing. How difficult are these to replace and can anyone provide any suggestions on how to do this, or at least things that I may need to be careful about? Thanks!
