Battery Fine, but no ignition response

I have a '95 850 and recently ran into an electrical issue. While sitting in a parking spot for a couple of minutes that car died. When I went to restart the car the vehicle didn't react at all to me turning the key. Not only did the engine not crank, but no matter what position I put the ignition in nothing happens. No cluster lights, no chime, etc. Interestingly the Hazards work, the interior lights work and so does the door lock remote. The battery is fully charged.

I had the car towed and will begin looking at it on Saturday. Has anyone seen this before? Any recommendations on how to diagnose the issue?

Check out the post right before yours, this sounds very much like another failed electrical portion of the ignition switch.

Is the key really easy to turn, with no firm "clicks" into place? Can you possibly jiggle it just so to get some dash lights? Was there recently any erratic behavior of the dash lights or the car shutting off? Those would all be signs of a bad ignition switch.
