Shift Indicator on Wrong gear?

Hey guys, this weekend I decided to wrap the silver trim parts of my V70R. I took apart the center console and attempted to remove the trim around the radio and climate control. I disconnected a bunch of wires leading to the OBD port, and heated seats so i can remove everything.While I was in the middle of wrapping the pieces my heat gun decided to die. I didnt want to reinstall everything just to go drive and get another, so I figured what harm could it do. Without reinstalling those wires around the shifter and obd port i turn my car on and shifted into drive. The indicator went to drive but the car didnt move. I then put it in park and turned the car off but the indicator stayed at drive. So i hooked up those wires and tried again. When i shifted into drive, the indicator moved from Drive to Low. And now its stuck there. but the car knows its in drive, reverse, park, whatever. Any ideas how to get the indicator back in park and functional again?

If you removed the gearshift gaiter, then you may have not located the gearshift indicator pin back into the slider. When you remove it again, if you look carefully there is a little slider and pin that has to connect into a notch on the top of it.

Yeah I noticed that last night when I went to give it my last try. Derp moment. But at least now I know how to change my burnt out shift indicator light. Thanks anyways
