On my 2005, Im noticing (brought to attention by SWMBO.... ) that when I brake, even softly, I get a slight chirp on my ECC fan noise. It immediately stops on easing of the brake pedal.
Sound like a fan bearing getting loaded by deceleration?
I don't think a P2 fan replacement is a fun job....
Should I think about AC evaporator replacement if I have to dig it apart or are the P2s better than the P80s

Do you mean the cabin blower? The bearings seize after 10 years, but not too hard to replace (part available on Ebay). No need to take the dashboard apart. If the chirping is more in winter days, it will last another 1-2 years until giving up.
