Hey guys:
I have an '88 760 wagon with the 7145 stereo and companion tape deck underneath.
My issue is that 95% of the illumination lights are non-functional. The stereo unit only illuminates the backlight for the LCD display and the tape deck only lights up one random button on the faceplate.
I have a hard time believing that THAT many of those bulbs could fail, but I suppose anything is possible. Is there a known issue with the illumination circuit in those things? I notice the bulbs are soldered in.
The radio itself works great, so I guess if there's no recourse besides soldering a million bulbs in, I'll devise a floodlight arrangement like the 240's use on the instrument panel.
Thanks for any thoughts.
