Wahler. Probably 80,000 miles.

I'd just order one.

I wanted to report back in, as I don't like to leave loose ends on here. No matter how trivial the issue. Over the weekend, I drained all the coolant to replace every coolant hose on the car, including the firewall coupler and heater core. This was the perfect time to drop in the new thermostat. My temps are now reading constantly in the 190s while driving, according to the scan gauge. And once up to operating temp, the factory gauge never leaves the 3:00 position. So, even a thermostat with around 10,000 miles on it can go bad.

Yes,

You might just get a bad one once in a blue moon...
The needle does not have a "linear" behaviour with changes in temperature for a very good reason: driving while staring at the gauge would be too risky
Thanks for posting back!
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
Disclaimer: We (very) seldom do that
