Question about Corteco Transaxle Seals (98, S70, N/A, 5-Speed)

Post by theWIFES_S70 »

Hey everyone, just got some parts in the mail today. (Radiator hoses, cabin air filter, J hose, L hose... mostly boring stuff.) The thing I'm looking forward to finally getting around to are the manual transaxle seals. I went with Corteco seals, because everyone here swears by them.

Or did I... The box says Corteco but the branding looks like its been rubbed off. Is this normal? I really (REALLY) don't want to have to pull off my axle if I don't have to. (As in, I don't want to have to do this job over again...) Especially since I don't have an impact yet! Has anyone gotten seals like this? Thanks.

The mfg rubs off the name all the time for legal reason. Let's say the seal has Volvo name on it and Corteco wants to sell it as aftermarket, Corteco has to rub it off to avoid legal sh!t from Volvo.
That is all.
