Wheel fitment question Volvo 850t

Post by rguzz »

Found a nice set of 2000xc wheels @ Pic-N-Pull. So they will fit my 850? I'm not sure how they would look on 850 but that's another issue.1993-2000 850 CS V70 35-38mm offset 65.1 mm hub bore suggests compatibility but doesn't specifically mention XC (borrowed from IPD website).Compatibility? Thanks.

They should fit fine. On my XCs the factory wheels are 15" while most of the other 850s have/had 16" so it depends on what you have now as far as tire compatibility goes. The wheels will fit but your tires may not fit the wheels.

I had no trouble swapping between 15" sets and 16" sets between the cars as conditions (the girls having more worn out tires) dictated a change.

They should be fine. You can fit larger diameters unless you have 16" wheels as standard. Need to check your rotor diameter. If you rotors are 280mm dia. you should be fine, but if the have been upgraded or are 302mm diameter you need a 16" wheel diameter as a minimum.

The offset on my AWD cars are 43mm, so as Lee suggests, when you fit, if they are wider than you have, check that the tires and rims don't foul on the front struts and front and rear flexi-brake lines. Wider tires also need ot be checked to make sure they don't foul on the inner fender liners.
