Upgrade parts usually means nothing, unless you have an agree value with your insurance before the accident. And your insurance is trying to pay as little as possible. Don't be insult with the first low ball offer, because that is what they usually do. Do your own homework, try to find cars for sale that is like yours and get their for sale price, then print their ads. Come up with a number that you are happy with and stick with it. R means higher horsepower, awd, and other stuff. Don't let insurance company bully you. If you are not happy with the offer, say, "I'll think about that and give you a call back."
