rear abs sensor harness

I'm needing to replace my pass rear abs sensor. I ordered the complete harness with both sensors. Ive done this before but cant remember the procedure.
The harness comes up through where the fuel pump access panel is correct ? Its best to cut the old harness and tie it with the new harness and pull the new harness connector up and through ?

Correct and pull the new one through using the old one.

Sensor bad or broken wire?? I successfully soldered my 1999 rear wire when I broke it....broke and soldered the front one too, come to think of it.

I honestly dont know. Im just gonna replace it all and not have to worry abouy it anymore
