Trouble Resetting Service Light

Post by warmblood58 »

First time setting service light on '95 850T5-r - Sequence is 4, 1-5-1 using port 7. I tried 3 times, waiting for light each time but service light will not clear! Is input timing that sensitive? I have key in position 2, CEL is on also but I thought I would clear service light first - anyone?

Thanks Robert! I previously followed your video to a T twice and still no result with light turning off. I will allow for a little slower input speed and see if that helps . . . thanks again

I have tried resetting service light at least a dozen times using Robert's video and other instructions and cannot get the light to turn off! What would prevent this ? Using socket 7, pressing button 4 times and then sequence 1-5-1 I have gotten the final little fluttering flash which would seem to indicate a reset but no dice - anyone?
