I looked on the googles for about ten minutes trying to find this thread! I finally asked in another topic and Matthew directed me to volvospeed! after another 5 minutes there...

It's awesome to walk through, get some ideas, and just admire the love that one man can have for his car.

Ah, you found it, super! So much information in that thread... you need a couple hours to go through it really. Great attention to detail on that car, and in the documentation. The documentation itself was a large project.

Unfortunately Hussein detonated his engine and ended up scrapping the entire car and no telling the thousands he put into it trying to get his XC up to 25PSI of boost consistently. I think he was really almost there with his XR (XC-R). A lot of good learning went on over at SS and for the entire Volvo community.

One of the best, comprehensive build threads I have seen in my 15 years of car/motorcycle enthusiast forums. The hours just adding all of the content...amazing.

^ Yep. Documenting that material in and of itself was many hours of work. A huge undertaking. Kudos to him for writing and organizing all that.
I've been organizing and editing DIYs (and writing some originals of my own) for 15 years here, and I was stunned when I read that. I know how much work that is.
VRD entries take me 20-30 minutes, and that's with everything written -- as a forum post -- in front of me.
