S70 SAS delete success. Why low idle?

Post by slupul »

So I did the SAS delete with the ECU diode fix yesterday. Works awesome, the pump doesn't fire up. Interesting side effect that I noticed is that The idle seems to be lower RPM, and I noticed it a lot when I'm off the throttle and applying a little to medium amount of braking, I get more than normal vibration, and it's a rather harsh vibration. It's pronounced when cornering too. I'd take it that for some reason the emissions is causing it to idle lower or something, and then the lower idle is harsher on the vibrations? I also noticed a pretty decent drop in my fuel consumption readings, which is interesting. Does the 02 sensor in the Cat provide info to the ECU about fuel usage? I'm thinking of adjusting the throttle body so that I can increase the idle back to where it was. Anyone have advice here?

Idle speed is not adjustable,it's controlled by ecu via IAC valve.
Sas delete have nothing to do with it.
