96 850 Sunroof Issues

96 850 Sunroof Issues

So my sunroof gave up last year- it would vent but wouldn't go back, I was messing with it when a chunk fell out so I got another entire mechanism from a blown engine car- installed it last night and the same damn thing, it will go back about 4 cm then stop, where do I look for the issue ? lubricate ? priest ? I am using the motor and control of the 'new' sunroof
