Replace Rear Wheel Bearings 1998 XC70

Has anyone done a wheel bearing replacement for your 98 volvo xc70? If so, could you please let me know the difficulty level of this repair? I'm finding differing opinions online and wanted some clarification from someone who's actually done the job already. Pictures or videos would be great. Thanks.

My '98 AWD rear wheel bearings are pressed into the hub casting, while as I understand it later models are mounted in a carrier that can be unbolted and replaced more easily. On mine, a press was needed to press the old bearing out, and push in the new one. Also, the retaining ring holding the bearing in place was rusted badly, and needed lots of heat with a torch to get it out of the groove. Without torch and hydraulic press, I'd never have been able to complete this job.

It is not easy as renns says. A press is needed. Best method is to find a rear hub assembly at a Pick and Pull type yard, but V70 AWD are not thick on the ground and you can't use a V70XC rear hub as they are different.

Anyone have a picture? Most rear wheel bearings I've come across call for a press, but I've knocked them out with a hammer and punch, and put them back in with a socket....
