Newbie Questions

Oscilloscope specifications - After looking at these protocols, CAN, LIN, I²C, UART/RS-232, SPI, I²S, FlexRay, I am wondering if any high quality scope would work just fine, or would only an automotive scope have specific operational design parameters?

Oscilloscope Selection for DIYer - The HANTEK 1008C sells at a reasonable cost, and the PicoScope 4225 and 4425 Series are in the $1K plus range, so any thoughts here?
