S80 CEM Wiring Project / Repair

Post by Will1657 »

Hey all,

Long story short, my ABS is out because my CEM isn't providing power to fuse 15, per the attached diagram. When my mechanic applied 12V manually to that fuse, the BCM comes online and the codes go away. Now, whether I'm cheap or just like to tinker is irrelevant. Rather than send in the CEM for repair of the loose connection (it flickered on/off for a few days before going out entirety), I'd like to just hotwire 12V across to the power side of the fuse, from somewhere else on the CEM.

So my questions are:
1) Anyone have a CEM wiring schematic for an 06 S80? Where should I pull the 12V from?

2) Which side of the fuse is the upstream side?

3) What should this setup look like? Ideally any soldering would be done external to the CEM, so I just plug my rig into the board and I'm good to go. Do I just solder to the exposed contact on the top of the fuse?

4) Any major concerns with this plan? I will still have a fuse in the system.... Am I going to jack anything up by tying the power side of two 12V fuses together? Does the CEM turn each fuse (well, circuit) on and off independently, such that I can't just wire 2 together?

Thanks!
