Can I get the timing marks for a V8 (cool picture)

Can I get the timing marks for a V8 (cool picture)

It looks like the dots are supposed to line up with the impressions on the VVT, cams, etc. I don't think mine do. Can some one give me the instructions for proper timing setup (without Volvo tools). Thanks
