My 2002 v70 XC also throws a P0234, though I haven't bothered fixing it it for the last 100,000 miles or so. My experience is that this code alone does NOT cause the CEL to come on. So once you fix your other code and clear them it should stay off.

Hey apple guru thanks for the tip, I will wait until car is on the road. Right now is at the shop.
I need some feed back about the hanger bearing, I ordered through E BAY And just got it now but it is a tiny bearing and steel mount that it can be fitted on my hand. Is this part that small? Anybody has change it before? Please let me know if you have any spec like dimension or bearing OD will help. I haven't remove the old one yet.

What's a hanger bearing? Haven't come across that part before.

The shop called it hanger bearing but it is the shaft that connects from front wheel to the rear tires for the AWD, volvo called it propeler shaft. Today came from the shop and the mechanic is affraid to touch the bracket that holds the hanger bearing that holds the shaft in place for vibration because is rusted, I call volvo to see if you can purchase separate but volvo cannot sale it alone, only with the whole shaft asy(bearing, base ans shaft) for almost $1,700 CA. I haven't been able to get a use one in good shape. Please if anybody knows where I can find one let me know.

Erie VoVo is about a 5 hour drive from you in Utica NY and probably have that part. I could get it to Buffal NY for you in a couple weeks.
