1996 855 T5 - "Sucking" sound at PTC?

So, I pulled the old hose from the passenger side of the manifold out and replaced it with a silicone hose the other day. The elbow was going, so I routed the new hose on the outside of the manifold and around to the PTC.

Thing is, now there's a pronounced sucking sound from that hose, right where it connects to the side port on the PTC. I've confirmed that it's that hose by pinching it shut, which removes the sound. The port on the PTC is clear as well - had it off today while turning the battery 90 degrees to make room for a new CAI some way down the line.

So, question is, do your PTCs make that sound at idle - I've never heard it before, so I have no idea if this is normal or not. Or healthy.

The exact same line does exactly this on my 98. Took me a while to figure it out, you were fast! It bugs me, but it seems to work fine. Has been that way for a couple years, I changed all the vacuum lines right when I got the car.

Thank you, sir, that's good to know - maybe it's a sign of good health, at that.

Believe me, it took some hunting down (and quite a bit of colorful language), but it was telling that it popped up right after I changed that hose.
