Very impressed, after one short drive the atp 205 cured my valve stem seal leak! I would get a short puff of smoke upon start up, not any more.
It only took one short trip for it to work. Highly recommended, it could prevent a valve from burning and gets my highest recommendation.
ATP-205 works!

I totally agree that of all the plethora of moose pee additives out there, this stuff is actually effective for softening/restoring seals.
I put 1oz. in the power steering and the rest in the crankcase of the S70. Now, thanks to you, I'm reminded/convinced I need to get a bottle for my 855.

Somewhere I read that atp 205 only softens rubber and according to atp ruins plastic and teflon seals. Are there any plastic or Teflon seals in an 850 or S/V 70?

Valve stem seals on our cars should be made of teflon as far as i know.

I thought the valve stem seals are nitrile; anyways mine were leaking so what harm could I really do. As far as I am aware, our engines don't use plastic seals and didn't think they used Teflon. I never read that about it harming seals anyway.
I have been driving it for a couple months and it is perfect. Read the reviews on Amazon, it has cured many valve stem seal leaks.
I let the car sit for a week trying to see if any valve would leak past the seal, started the car up, zero smoke.

I don't think the valve seals are teflon, haven't heard that one before, interesting comment. The ones I bought looked like some kind of rubber-like compound, e.g. nitrile, FWIW.
I also like this stuff, have used it a couple times.

Mecheng,
Glad to hear it worked for you.
Just did a PS flush & fill & reboot. Added 1.5oz to the Valvoline Maxlife ATF syn. I refilled the system with. Hoping it will stop the rack from leaking. Read really good things about AT-205 + I was able to find it locally.

If it doesn't work, it could be because you added too little.sleddriver wrote:Mecheng,

Really? Where did you hear that?
I based my dosage on what I found from an ATP video: 1.5oz/quart of fluid. This was the suggested dose for an AT. Could be different for PS. If so, I'm interested in hearing your information

Update: Just got off the phone with ATP support re: 205. He said 2-3oz/qrt. So I'll top up with a bit more.
