Xc90 Fuel System problem. Won't start
Hello everyone. I have a 2005 XC90 2.5T. I started the car 3 days ago, engine run for 30 seconds and stopped. Won't start again. Fuel pump is ok and running when key is on position 2. Car started with starting fluid. My next steps would be fuel pump relay, FCU/PEM. Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!
I don't know if it has anything to do with the problem, but it started a few days after long rainy days. I replaced my fuel pump (man, that's a job!) because of a faulty fuel sensor reading. I thought it would take care of the problem but it didn't. So, I'm try to see other options before take it to the dealer.

Any further news on this problem? I think my fuel pressure sensor is going bad as well...
Water related problems are almost always the CEM, so check your sunroof drain tubes, especially the rubber nipple at bottom in your pillars for they always clog up and cause water to drip right on top of your CEM located just above your left foot area. This problem causes nightmare problems, believe me, seen it all. Check fuses is first thing since water shorts can cause fuses to blow. Relay can be checked easily by simply swapping relay with RI which is for headlights, both are the same as marked, look at the three digit number, 523 as I recall, others are 525. Pull codes is next step if not fuse or relay. Check your fuel pressure regulator connection on fuel rail driver side end. Bad connections are often problem. Check PEM connection which is another trouble area, it is located under a small panel just in front of rear pass side wheel. Fuel pumps are last thing you want to consider, so pull codes, you will probably see P0087-89 codes. Good luck, that is what I need at this point.
