Hi guys,
Ordered new Timken bearings and will replace them soon on my 1998 S70 GLT with 175K miles.
Questions for the gurus:
1. I already ordered the eight (8) Torx bolts. But for those who have done this job...
If you heat the bolt where it enters the hub (this is what I plan to do), and if the bolt comes out nicely, can you re-use the bolt?
2. How often is the bolt head rounded off, requiring a dremel job?

Even if you don't heat them, they are TTY bolts and need to be replaced. I have spares if needed.
They rarely strip. You might find a 12 pt hex will fit better if they are really rusty.
The replacement bolts have slightly different heads than the OEM - I documented this in a thread on my 1999 V70 T5M
