You should probably start one.
Since Volvo stopped making 850s in '97,
you might want to start by nailing down
exactly what you're working on.
The next variable is whether the car has
Electronic (ECC) or Manual (MCC) Climate Control.
Does the word AUTO appear on your controls?

I have the same problem. Changed heater core, change termostat,changed coolant, and still no heat... The problem was air inside heater core,like oragex said,park the car on a hill and give It some revs,it should burp the air(on a hill, cap open and revs) hold the reservoir up on the higest point and it will burp when stat opens more than once...thanks guys from MSV I had trouble with heat now its good.special thanks to oragex
