Does the ride of your Volvo feel a bit more bouncy compared to when it was new? Can you hear and feel clunks in the suspension while it's going over bumps? This is likely due to worn strut assemblies and shock absorbers. The purpose of the strut assembly is to act as a central pivot point for the front suspension while housing the coil spring. It also dampens the compression and rebound of the coil spring as the suspension moves up and down. When replacing suspension components it is highly recommended to replace them in pairs. At FCP, we recommend Sachs as they’re original equipment for your Volvo set at a lower pricing point compared to Genuine Volvo.
