Fresh charged battery
All plugs out
Foot on floor
First dry, then with some oil
You will have to report cold only of course

You can do the cold test but for operating compression, you want to warm the engine up first, take it for a drive.

I also like to pull the fuse to the fuel pump, just to be sure no fuel gets dumped in the cylinders.

No way I can do a warm test, car doesn't run.
The engine definitely sounds like it's just spinning. Like I said, there is no spark, it will not run. I was thinking that the crank sensor or cam sensor might have something to do with that.
What are the other reasons that it isn't getting any spark? I don't think low compression will affect spark.

Did u hook up obdii and try to get a reading to see if it's a crank or cam sensor error? That can narrow it down. As for me, on my benz, I had a bad CPS and it didn't have a DTC. I tested the CPS and it was bad. Car would crank and not start and it didn't read anything on the obdii. There are either 2 wire or 3 wore CPS. Which ever one, test them. Pretty easy if you have a multimeter or a test light. I won't write out instructions as there are some YouTube videos about it.

Do you have 12 volts on all the coil over plugs??

I haven't checked the OBDII in a couple weeks, I forgot to bring my scanner yesterday. CEL is on after trying to start it, but so are the SRS, battery, oil, etc. so I don't think it's actually on. I will scan it again, though.
That was what I was thinking though. Just because there isn't a CEL (or any codes, for that matter), doesn't exactly mean that the cam/crank sensors are good.
I haven't checked for voltage at the coils, didn't have my multimeter with me either. How do I do that, just touch the leads to the coil connector while cranking the motor?

Just turn on ignition and scan for codes.

You should have 12vdc on pin to each coil with ignition on.

Yes, cam and crank sensors will lead to no spark.

A failed cam or crank sensor rarely sets the appropriate code. I think it is because the ECU checks them on startup, and if the sensor is bad then it can't start to check ...

This thread is too long I'm not sure what is in it :) but if the engine is just spinning, did you consider lawn mower syndrome?

Yeah, this thread has gotten quite long! Haha
I have tried to diagnose lawn mower syndrome, didn't help. For that matter, it's entirely possible that the cam or crank sensors are bad. I'll check them out.
Thanks, I'll take a look at the coils soon.

Look for an unplugged connector near your right headlight. I had tucked one away there once and spent a few days wondering why I had no spark or fuel. Plugged it in and determined conclusively that I am an idiot.
