Does Limp mode cause a flashing arrow?

Post by c70_lindsay »

I suspected my car was in limp mode due to a bad ETM. I read one another post that if the car is in limp mode the arrow light on the dash will flash. It's not flashing, nor does the ets light come on. Also I had to push it into the garage today. It was running rough on idle and would rev to 1500rpm with the car in park or neutral. When I put the car into gear it would drop to 1000rpm but wouldn't move, I should point out my driveway is on a slight slope. It's a 99 S70T5 with an auto trans. Thanks~Tim

Tim, try checking over all the intercooler and turbo feed pipes for leaks and splits. I know in the winter when really cold the turbo/intercooler pipes can collapse preventing pressure to the engine, and gives similar symptoms of no power or trans. I'm thinking it may be a split pipe or a crack in the intercooler possibly.
