Hi- One other question today... Generally I don't care about having non-working a/c, but the other day I suddenly became a little frustrated. I know the compressor works, I can see 'some'refrig bubbling in there, but the thing does not blow cold. What do I expect? I know, I know. I do not want to rip the thing apart to have a look at the hoses and condenser, but - what are general thoughts about this? Is it worth converting to 134 - is this even possible? I have no clue, I've never done this type of work before. I've been traveling a bit more for work and I guess I'm just sick of sweating my ass off...
Thanks!
Greg

Yes it is possible and Volvo do sell a kit to do the conversion. However, an air con specialist can do a cheaper job.Is it worth converting to 134 - is this even possible?
As for the current problems it is possible that the refrigerant charge is low, but not low enough to stop it working totally. You may be lucky and find some R12, but in the UK it has not been used for so long that supplies are scarce. I know of only one specialist in my area who laid in stocks when it was withdrawn. He is very popular!!

Hi,
Seems like the heating valve is damaged (sits in the bottom of the center console) .
I didn't find an original one , so I just used an external faucet , I have connect on one of the tubes , from the engine to the heating radiator.
AC is like a refrigerator , even when it is 40 deg. c.
Hope it helps.
