Can't answer that one I'm afraid. There are so many axle options for these cars it may be a case of trying. Maybe a cheap set pulled from a PnP might be a low cost way of finding out. If they are good like the ones close to me you have 30 days to return.
Cutting/grinding is the cheapest option. As long as the remaining portion is outside the hub nut you should be good.
