Keep in mind that the 5 cylinder whiteblock Volvo engines are incredibly picky on parts. Don't buy the expensive multiprong Bosch Platinum +2 or +4 spark plugs. Most of us just run the Bosch copper core single electrode but the gap is very important, 0.028" or a fuzz less. The fancy spark plugs don't have an adjustable gap and they come out of the box at around 0.045" and the car will barely run with them. The OEM plugs are great and they last longer but they are also a lot more expensive.
For the cap and rotor use only Bosch brand parts and if you decide to buy new ignition wires they must be the Bougicord wire. The Bougicord wires are very tough to find at local auto parts stores.
A 13 year old belt on a '93 has me nervous.

Yes me as well, I haven't driven it and do not plan to do so as I am putting in an order for more parts tonight and a new timing belt and the hydraulic tensioner will be with it, I may or may not do the spark plugs yet I haven't decided as I wanted to do the plugs, cap, rotor and wires all at once. I may pull one out and see how it looks and see how dire it is to change them, I got the glove box open but was exhausted after fixing my wife's car all day and didn't go through the manual booklet to see anymore maintenance records. I'm not sure if the dealer actually filled out the maintenance booklet.
I am only gonna go with the simple basic spark plugs, do those still have to be gapped or will they come pregapped? I get all my parts from eeuroparts.com as when I had a saab that's where I found the best deals so it is a European seller. I looked on autozones website and they only had platinums and such.
Thanks for the info lee

So I was just looking at eeuroparts and under spark plugs they offer two types of Volvo genuine spark plugs, they have a kit of five sinlge electrodes for 58$ which I'm guessing are the ones you are referring to, they say those work on any Volvo made including turboed. They also offer a kit of genuine Volvo for 5 that are 3 pronged spark plugs for only 32$ and they say it is only for NON turbo'd engines, which mine is N/A I know you said the engines don't like the multi pronged stuff and I'm guessing its because of the higher power required? So although these are essentially made for my car should I not get them and go with the bosch coppers or ngk basics? Here are links to the plugs I am referring to:
The Volvo singles:

The Volvo 3 prongs

Heres the NGK's:

And I was wrong about the boschs they had they were 4 prongs so these were the other NGK's I were considering

Any Ideas about these?

I wouldn't wait on shipping and pay to much for plugs esp. if you're tight on $$. What you want are the Bosch FR7DC but you'll need to gap them. If you have your owner's manual, it will tell you the gap. It may be 0.028 inches like Lee said - I know that's right for turbo. Anyway, if you have an Advance Auto near you, buy on line with savings and then pick them up at the store. I see a 30% off...there's also a code for 20% off if that doesn't work: OFRAAP20
Here's the link to their online store. If you don't have an Advance Auto near you, most all stores carry this plug as it's pretty common. If you don't have a gapper, I like the feeler gauge type- it's definitely more accurate but if it will gap them, then cheap is fine too.

AT O'Rielly's they're just under $2 each but they have them listed by Bosh part number #7955.

Thanks for the info! I do have the manual I will go digging through it and I ended up removing the spark plugs anyways as I looked at autozone and saw they had some regular ones so I figured I'd look around in store, thanks for the links! I have to get other parts from Eeuro anyways so I'll get more dire things and just enough to get the discount from them, thanks!
