C70. 2007 or 2008?

I have a choice of two C70s with 3,000 miles difference between them. A 2007 and a 2008. The only obvious difference I see are the consoles, with the '08 having a higher center console between the seats.

Were there any significant updates between these years? I've read some about power steering return hoses being an issue in 2008 - 2010 (bursting), and some about front control arm and tire wear on the '07. Both have clean carfax with the '07's carfax showing all scheduled maintenance has been done.

It also shows that the '07 had multiple ECU reprogramming done. Unusual? Or was there an issue and a bunch of firmware releases in '07 and '08?

Daughter is getting her license next week and she's going to love this car as much as my wife loves her '08 V70.

Well, for the '08, they call that the "Face Lift" version of Version II for my S40 and V50's- I would think as these all share the P1 platform like the '07 and '08 you're debating, the C70 would also be called that...the big difference I see are subtle changes to the body...Volvo lettering on the rear of the car spread out vs. bunched together... some other changes in suspension I'm sure but I haven't read up on the details. If it's between the years and substantial savings for an '07, I'd get it. Always, the first year out of the box for any model has some kinks that have to be worked out over the next production year or so... Just my $0.02.
