2000 V70R, 211K miles. Runs great normally, but lately it has been a little sluggish from the get go, but then it goes away. Almost like a cylinder is not firing, and then it does (happens cold or warm, slowly getting more frequent). The only code I have been getting is the P1332 (knock sensor 4 low input) once in a while. I have a new set of knock sensors to put on it when I get a chance.
What throws a cylinder misfire code? Does it have to be electrically related or will something as simple as a fouled spark plug trigger it? I suppose I should check the plugs regardless (probably have 25K miles or better on them). I also have a different set of coils I could swap into it that I know are good. Is this a good place to start?
Do the knock sensors affect performance? If I had a bad connection to them, would it retard the timing to the point of it being sluggish?
Thanks, Spenser
