2001 v70 t5 blower reset

My blower motor will not turn off. I've followed several informative links and have finally removed the motor with resistor. My question is, is the replacement of the resistor the only option or is there a reset option. Can anyone help. Thanks.

Beginning this exact troubleshooting myself. Mine stays running on high no matter what setting I put it at. The dial lights according to my setting with no speed change at motor. With the key out and locked it will run until my battery is completely discharged.

It may have something to do with the climate control module.
